Scholarship Application Information
The Arlington Heights Junior Woman’s Club is a philanthropic organization comprised of women dedicated to helping their community. We are pleased to offer a $1,000 scholarship to a deserving student who has demonstrated a commitment to volunteerism in the community.
The application rules are as follows:
• Applicants must be a legal resident of District 214 as of the date of this application and be a graduating high school senior between the ages of 16-22.
• Applicant must graduate from high school by June 30, 2019 and must be enrolled for the 2019-2020 term in an accredited College or University.
The recipient(s) of this scholarship will be decided by the Scholarship Committee of the Arlington Heights Junior Women’s Club. The selection will be based on volunteer activities, academic achievements, character, written essay and other conditions deemed appropriate by the committee. The selection will be made on an objective and non-discriminatory basis.
The scholarship will be applied towards tuition for one academic year only and will be sent directly to the recipient’s chosen school. Proof of enrollment at the institution proposed in the application must be supplied prior to the release of the scholarship award. Applicant must agree to furnish proof of successful completion of high school. Scholarship winner must attend college in the fall of 2018 or the scholarship may be forfeited at the discretion of the Scholarship Committee.
